Sunday 9:00 a.m. Worship Service in the Moye Chapel

Join us each Sunday morning for this early service held in our lovely Moye Chapel, located on the east side of the CGCC campus. Amid the lush foliage of our meditation gardens and the grandeur of our beautiful fountain, you enter into this more intimate setting where quiet prayer, a challenging message, and music from one of our gifted soloists is the order of the morning. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated each week in this service. Childcare is always available.

Sunday 11 a.m. Worship Service in the Sanctuary

We gather in the beauty of our historic Spanish-style sanctuary to be engaged in meaningful worship which feeds our spiritual hungers. We are led in thoughtful prayer which expresses our deepest needs; we listen to stimulating sermons which stretch our vision; and we learn to recognize God’s grace in our lives. Our outstanding choirs provide music which makes our souls soar. It is said that each week is a bit different; but every week there is something that challenges and calls us to be more than we thought possible. No matter where you are on your faith journey, you will find a place with us. Children’s Sunday School and childcare are available during this service.

Ash Wednesday Service, February 22, 2012, 7:00 p.m.  We will join with Christians the world over in marking the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday service.  Begin your Lenten journey in worship, prayer, music and the dispensing of ashes. On this night we are reminded of the fragility of life and our call to live life abundantly.  Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. $5 for adults, $3 for children.

Sunday, February 26 – First Sunday in Lent.  We invite you to begin your Lenten journey with us through a very special service of beautiful music, quiet prayers and the celebration of Holy Communion at both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. Our guest preacher for the day will be Peter Makari, the Executive for UCC Middle East Global Ministries. Make worship a part of your weekly Lenten discipline. Don’t forget to “spring” forward and set your clocks one hour ahead as Daylight Savings Time begins.
