Anthony Cabrera is currently CGCC’s Assistant Director of Music Ministries and Director of the Cantate Youth Choir.  Additionally, he is a soloist with the Chancel Choir and a member of the Vocal Ensemble.   A graduate of the University of Miami, Anthony enjoys a versatile career as a teacher and singer. He is the choral director at the Young Women’s Preparatory Academy, Miami Dade County Public School’s single gender public preparatory academy for girls.  Anthony is also the Artistic Director of the Miami Gay Men’s Chorus.

For the National Setting of the UCC, Anthony served as a member of the Praise Song Advisory Team (2008 – 2010), which was responsible for publishing the UCC’s contemporary praise and worship songbook “Sing Prayer and Praise!” He served on the Worship Planning Committee of General Synod 27 (2009) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he also sang in the House Band.  For General Synod 28 (2011) in Tampa, Anthony served as the Director of the Synod Youth Choir as well as a singer in the House Band.  In 2011, he served as the Music Director and Conductor of the Coalition Choir for the UCC LGBT Coalition’s National Gathering.  Anthony has been selected to be the Worship Coordinator for the UCC’s National Youth Event which will take place in July of 2012 on the campus of Purdue University in Indiana.
