Youth Choirs
Our Cantate Choir, for singers in Grades 6 – 12, practices each Wednesday evening from 6:15 – 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. This choir sings in church once a month, and participates in our puppet ministry, with scripts written specifically for CGCC. The Cantate Choir helps our congregation learn songs from Sing! Prayer and Praise, a collection of contemporary praise music from the UCC. All middle school and high school students are invited to become worship leaders through participation in the Cantate Choir.
Our new Youth Bell Choir, now in its second season, is an enthusiastic and spirited group of young people who meet one Friday evening a month as part of our Youth Group program, and play in church throughout the choir season. Some of our ringers read music, others do not. But all enjoy exploring music through the beautiful sound of our handbells. After rehearsals, handbell members return to Aunt Mollie’s Youth House for a variety of activities. Being in the Youth Bell Choir is a great way to have fun with friends, while also enhancing the music ministry of the church.

Cantate Choir (Grades 6 – 12)

Youth Handbell Choir (Grades 6 – 12)
One Friday evening a month, (usually the 3rd Friday), 7:00 – 7:45 p.m.
