Friends of Dorothy is our social and support group for our GLBTQ members, their friends and allies.  All GLBTQ members, friends and allies are invited to participate in all Friends of Dorothy activities.  As the crowd gets more and more diverse, the fun increases!

Help Us Build the Float for the 2012 Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade

In preparation for the 2012 Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade on Sunday, April 15, we are planning an even bigger and more spectacular float to bring our message of welcome and acceptance to the 35,000 people who will line the street on Ocean Drive in South Beach.  We are retiring the nine-foot ruby slipper (but Glenda will still reign supreme), and replacing it with a huge wedding cake to show our support for marriage equality.  Many volunteers are needed to build the float and to staff the CGCC-UCC booth.  Watch Laurie’s Lines, the website, and bulletins for scheduled work days, or contact Ron Morgan at ronm@ucc-cgcc.org to volunteer for this fun and important project.
