Church Night In

Church Night In is one of our most popular programs, and there are lots of reasons why…good food, warm fellowship, great programs, and no cooking!  Dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday $5 for adults / $3 for kids 12 and under, with take-out available.   Still not convinced?   Read this testimony from Ross Walpole about his favorite night of the week.

“I know I am ‘preaching’ to the converted when I tell you what a great concept CNI is and has become.

It is a real meal for the senior ladies who I know don’t always cook a meal for themselves, a night off from cooking for the parents who work full time jobs, a chance for some sane conversation for the mothers or fathers as their children play with the other kids, a chance for the middle-schoolers to get together with their friends from other schools, a place where neither race, color, age, nor sexual orientation matter, a time when the older kids take care of the younger kids so the parents can rest, converse and eat their meal in peace, a chance for people who have never been to our church or a service to see that we are very nice, normal people, and last but not least, everyone can eat relatively healthy for a nominal price. For kids, it is cheaper than Mickey D’s.

One evening this year, I looked over and there were a bunch of tables of adults talking, a table of the middle school kids doing their homework, the senior ladies all eating and talking together, the young kids playing, and here I was talking to a family who had never been to our church before. I thought, ‘I am in a small town and I never knew it.’ A major ‘shout out’ to who ever thought up CNI. I don’t know how many times I was told this year that it was the best night of the week.”

Come see Ross and all the others who gather for dinner and for a variety of activities from children’s choir to bell choir, from yoga to adult study. There are many options…just figure out what works for you and your family.
